Effective Acne Solution May Be A Rough Scrub Away
During puberty, pregnancy or stressful times in their lives, many people suffer the occasional outbreak of acne. In most instances, a simple acne solution will be enough to help rid them of the often-embarrassing pimples and blackheads that form due to clogged skin pores. Since acne typically starts when the body’s natural skin oil mixes with dead skin cells, exfoliating the dead cells from the body can usually help prevent the blemishes from appearing in the first place. When they do pop up, an acne solution of five percent benzoyl peroxide will usually do the trick.
Understanding the basics of an acne zit can help people develop their own acne solution to have clear skin. First, there are the sebaceous glands, located under the skin that produces sebum. This makes its way to the surface by traveling through the same tiny tubes through which the hair passes and serves to lubricate the skin…nature’s own moisturizer. Skin cells die by the millions every day and unless they are removed they can get caught up with the sebum, effectively blocking its path to the surface.
Once this blockage begins, bacteria will begin to form just under the skin and make its presence known as a whitehead, blackhead or a pimple. An acne solution of five percent benzoyl peroxide is the most often used method of drying out existing acne blemishes as well as helping to prevent their reappearance.
Eliminating Acne Causes Reduces Chances For Zits
While many scientists now claim that eating too much chocolate, pizza or other such foods has no direct connection to acne outbreaks, they do say that proper diet and nutrition is necessary for healthy skin and can also serve as an acne solution. However, since many foods or additives can help boost sebum production and subsequent zit production as well, it is hard to develop an acne diet that will prevent acne outbreaks.
Fresh fruits and vegetables are known to help ease production of sebum and can be used in a diet as an acne solution, but the only true means of determining the offending foods is to eat nothing but fruits and vegetables for at least two weeks, and then begin adding the other foods. Similar to a reverse trial and error, once zits start to reappear, the food most recently added is likely the offender.
However, this time consuming method is only one way of finding an acne solution for troublesome outbreaks. Most people choose to use a proven acne solution on their existing pimples as well as using it to prevent future outbreaks, hoping not to find what will cause them to break out.
